The experimental methods and related contents of this article are derived from "The Effects of Collagen Tripeptide on Atherosclerosis in Healthy Humans" (J Atheroscler Thromb, 2017), and are compiled in combination with the characteristics of Jiayi Collagen Tripeptide prod.
Atherosclerosis is one of the main causes of cardiovascular diseases. Its pathogenesis includes the deposition of lipids in the intima of arteries (atherosclerosis) and the hardening of the arterial wall (arteriosclerosis). Due to its slow progression and the absence of obvious symptoms in the early stage, patients are often diagnosed only when serious consequences (such as myocardial infarction or stroke) occur. Therefore, early prevention and intervention are of vital importance. In recent years, functional foods have attracted much attention due to their naturalness and multiple health benefits. Jiayi Collagen tripeptide (CTP), as a functional food extracted from natural collagen, is rich in glycine-X-Y tripeptide sequences and has been confirmed by multiple studies to have significant preventive and improvement effects on atherosclerosis.
I. Experimental Method: Rigorous design to verify the efficacy of the product
Trial type: A non-blind trial, single-dose, 6-month clinical study, involving 30 healthy volunteers (15 males / 15 females, aged 53.7±7.2 years), without a history of cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
Intervention plan: Take Jiayi Collagen Tripeptide (CTP) twice a day, 8 grams each time, with a total daily intake of 16 grams (containing 2.4 grams of glycine-X-Y tripeptide), dissolved in daily beverages or soups for consumption, and maintain a normal diet and lifestyle.
Lipid parameters: Total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), triglycerides (TG), and the ratio of LDL-C/HDL-C.
◦ Markers of atherosclerosis: Toxic advanced glycation end products (TAGE), cardioankle vascular index (CAVI, a non-invasive indicator for evaluating arterial hardness).
Grouping and Security:According to the baseline LDL-C/HDL-C ratio, the patients were divided into the high-risk group (≥2.5, 12 people) and the low-risk group (<2.5, 18 people), and the intervention effects were evaluated respectively.
The safety indicators such as blood routine, liver and kidney functions were monitored throughout the process, and no adverse events were found.
II.Experimental Data: Core indicators have significantly improved

Jiayi Laboratory and its research room conducted tests using Jiayi Collagen Tripeptide as the product with the same experimental methods and indicators. The subjects took Jiayi Collagen Tripeptide (CTP) twice a day, at breakfast and dinner respectively (total daily intake: 16 grams). The effect of CTP on atherosclerosis was verified by measuring multiple indicators including blood lipid levels, toxic advanced glycation end products (TAGE), and cardioankle vascular index (CAVI) at baseline and at 6 months.
The levels of total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and triglycerides (TG) of all subjects at baseline and at 6 months were all within the normal range. However, the levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglycerides (TG) significantly increased at 6 months.
Patients with an initial ratio of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (LDL-C/HDL-C ratio) ≥2.5 had a significantly decreased ratio (p=0.025). The advanced glycation end products (TAGE) of all subjects (p=0.031) and the high-risk group (p=0.024) were significantly decreased. The pulse wave velocity (CAVI) of all subjects was significantly decreased (right side: p=0.048, left side: p=0.047). Through multiple regression analysis, no significant relationship was found between the changes of CAVI and the changes of various factors. No adverse events were observed during the study period.
III.Experimental Results: Multi-dimensional confirmation of anti-atherosclerotic potential
Only in the high-risk population with baseline LDL-C/HDL-C≥2.5, this ratio was significantly decreased (p=0.025), indicating that Jiayi CTP has a more significant effect on the population with lipid imbalance.
The HDL-C level was significantly increased (p=0.007), which was helpful for clearing the low-density lipoprotein deposited on the vascular wall and reducing the risk of plaque formation.
The serum TAGE levels of all subjects decreased significantly (p=0.031), among which the decrease in the high TAGE group reached 13.6%, suggesting that CTP can inhibit glyceraldehyde-induced vascular endothelial injury and delay the progression of atherosclerosis.
Improve arterial elasticity and prevent arteriosclerosis at an early stage.
The CAVI values on the left and right sides decreased by 0.18 and 0.19 units respectively (p<0.05), indicating that Jiayi CTP can effectively reduce arterial hardness, and the effect is not related to age and gender, and is suitable for a wide range of people.
IV.Core Advantages and Conclusions of Jiayi Collagen Tripeptide
Core components: Tripeptide content ≥34%, extracted through directional enzymatic digestion technology, molecular weight concentrated in 300-800 Daltons, absorption rate more than three times higher than that of ordinary collagen, directly acts on vascular smooth muscle cells, inhibiting proliferation and migration.
Safety: It has passed the ISO 22000 food safety certification. No liver or kidney toxicity was found after a 6-month intervention. It is suitable for long-term use.
Preventive value: Jiayi CTP has a definite preventive effect on atherosclerosis in healthy people and those at high risk of dyslipidemia by regulating lipid balance (reducing the LDL-C/HDL-C ratio), inhibiting glycosylation damage (reducing TAGE), and improving vascular elasticity (reducing CAVI).
Application prospects: As a natural functional food, the high biological activity and safety of its small molecule peptides offer an innovative option for cardiovascular health management, especially suitable for daily supplementation by people who are concerned about vascular health, sedentary, or have high blood lipid levels.
V. Experimental Summary and Outlook
Long-term research has confirmed that collagen tripeptides regulate blood lipids in the body through multi-target mechanisms and have a significant impact on people with blood lipid imbalance. The key indicators for preventing and improving atherosclerosis show a positive trend in different gender and age ranges, making it suitable for long-term use. Jiayi's full-process quality control system is like a pair of "eagle eyes", closely monitoring every link of production, allowing every user to enjoy the beauty and health benefits brought by collagen tripeptides with peace of mind. Jiayi Collagen peptides are expected to explore their potential in the future among people with diabetes and hyperlipidemia, and help functional foods lay a solid scientific foundation for the intervention of cardiovascular diseases.
